Processing your Harvest

Once you’ve got your trophy in camp, VO can help in transporting your game to the processor. For the past three years VO has used Brothers Custom Processing in Craig, Colorado (970.824.3855). We highly recommend this family run business based upon the customer satisfaction level that our clients as well as we at VO have experienced.

Taxidermy for your Trophy

Gary Troester at All Seasons Taxidermy has been our taxidermist for many years here in Steamboat. Operations for the business have recently expanded to a new warehouse in Craig, Colorado as well. Gary’s trophy wall not only consist’s of the mounted variety but the many won as a result of recognition of his great work. If you have one of your trophy’s hanging on your wall by Gary like I do, you understand. What a great reminder of a great hunt.

VO Watering Hole And Feed Trough Favorites

Here’s some favorites that some of us at the VO outfit would like to recommed:

Get out and Fish

If you are into fishing, then we’ve get a couple of options that we would like to reccomend, Straightline Sports and Bucking Rainbow are a couple of great shops to start with that have knowledgeable staff and guides. The fall can be the most beautiful time of the year to cast a line.

Transportation

During your stay in Steamboat Springs, there are a couple of options for transportation. If your staying downtown there are a large number of restaurants and watering holes within walking distance. Many of the proprty management companies run shuttles from managed properties. Steamboat has a great public transportation system that is free of charge and uns between Downtown and The Ski Mountain area.

Alpine Taxi is one of the preferred choices of tranportation methods. It is our recommendation to connect with Alpine Taxi in advance if needing transportation to/from the Yampa Valley Regional Airport if you are arriving in advance or departing later from your hunt.
